Hands Around Iona to Take Place April 20 at 11 am.

New Rochelle, NY - Members of the Iona College community will join hands and encircle the Mazzella Athletic Field for a brief ceremony at 11 am on Tuesday, April 20 in celebration of the fundraising efforts for Christian Brothers' ministries in Sierra Leone. Organized by Iona's Tara Knights and Pax Christi chapters, Hands Around Iona will symbolize Iona's reaching across the ocean to support the Brothers working in the war torn country. The ceremony will include remarks by President Brother James A. Liguori and Br. Francis Tholley, a Christian Brother from Sierra Leone currently studying at Iona.

Celebrating 200 years of Christian Brothers Education, Iona College is a private, co-educational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic higher education. Iona offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, science, and business administration, as well as master of arts, master of science and master of business administration degrees and numerous post-graduate certificate programs.
