New Director to Lead Iona College at Blue Hill

New Rochelle, NY - New Rochelle, NY - Iona College, the Westchester Chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and the Episcopal Diocese of New York will present Abrahamic Voices of Peace from the Holy Land Monday, June 21 at 7:30 pm in Joyce Auditorium on Iona's main campus, located at 715 North Ave. in New Rochelle.

Reverend Samuel Fanous, an Arab-Israeli Episcopalian minister; Rabbi Ariel Picard, an educator in the Teacher's Program at the Shalom Hartman Institute; and, Imam Khalid Abu Ras, an advocate for understanding in the Arab-Israeli educational system, will address how religion can be a resource rather than an obstacle to peace in the Middle East. Rev. Leo Lefebure, PhD, associate professor of Theology at Fordham University and recipient of the 2001 Pax Christi USA Book Award for Revelation, the Religions, and Violence, will moderate the discussion. This event is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served following the program. Call (914) 637-2744 for additional event information.
