The Princeton Review's Latest Edition Names Iona One of
the Best Northeastern Colleges
New Rochelle, NY - Iona has been selected as one of Princeton Review's Best Northeastern Colleges in its 2005 edition. According to The Princeton Review web site, the goal of this list is "to identify some of the colleges and universities that stand out and to raise public awareness of many schools that may not be as well known as they should be." Iona received an admissions selectivity rating of 89 on a scale of 60 to 99. This rating is determined by the following factors: class rank, average standardized test scores, average high school GPA of entering freshmen, the percentage of out-of-state students, and the percentage of applicants accepted. Founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Iona College is a private, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic higher education. Iona offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, science and business administration, as well as master of arts, master of science and master of business administration degrees and numerous post-graduate certificate programs.
