Over 300 Iona Volunteers to Aid Ten Westchester County Programs on
"Make a Difference Day" Oct. 23

New Rochelle, NY - Iona College will join more than 3 million volunteers nationwide on Saturday, Oct. 23 for the 14th Annual "Make A Difference Day," the largest national day of helping others. The event, sponsored by USA WEEKEND Magazine and its nearly 600 carrier newspapers, is expected to draw over 300 Iona students, faculty, staff and local residents, who will volunteer at ten different sites throughout Westchester County.

The volunteer sites include the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle, the New Rochelle Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity of Westchester, the Wartburg Senior Center and Green Chimneys. Organized by Iona's Center for Campus Ministries, Make a Difference Day will begin at 9 am in Spellman Hall on the main campus, located at 715 North Ave. in New Rochelle.
