Iona Gaels to Play Charity Wheelchair Basketball Game for United Spinal Association 7 pm April 18

New Rochelle, NY – Iona’s chapter of the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity, Inc. will host a charity wheelchair basketball game at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 18 in the Hynes Athletics Center located on Iona’s main campus at 715 North Ave. The 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) champion Iona Gaels will take on the United Spinal Nets in an event sure to raise crucial funds for the United Spinal Association. The cost for admission is $2; however, spectators are welcome to donate more. Call (914) 633-2005 for additional information.

The United Spinal Association has been helping those with spinal injuries and other disabilities for 60 years. Their goal is to help those with spinal cord injuries, as well as others with disabilities, to lead a full and active life.

Founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Iona College is a private, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic higher education.
