Iona’s Success Center to Hold Third Annual “Success by the Mile” Walk April 29
New Rochelle , NY – Iona’s Success Center will host a walk to raise funds for its programs Saturday, April 29. Registration will begin at 8:30 am in the LaPenta Student Union where participants will deliver their collected donations, enter raffle tickets, receive a course map and enjoy a simple breakfast. Raffle tickets, given to each walker for every dollar raised, will be drawn from 10:30 to 11:30 am and lunch will follow. Prizes include overnight hotel accommodations in Manhattan, four regular season tickets to a Yankee game, two tickets to the Westchester Broadway Theatre, restaurant gift certificates, theme baskets and babysitting coupons. The Success Center is a non-profit after school tutoring and homework help center sponsored by Iona’s Center for Campus Ministries. For more than 10 years, the Center has offered local children and their families the opportunity for free homework help, literacy readiness, cultural enrichment, and workshops. Founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Iona College is a private, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic higher education.
