Hagan School of Business Announces New Fast Track MBA Program
January 3, 2007 – New Rochelle, NY – According to the U.S. government’s web portal, FirstGov.gov, two of the most popular New Year’s resolutions are to “get a better job” and “get a better education.” Iona College has developed a new Fast Track MBA program to help ambitious professionals achieve both these goals. Geared toward people who want to gain an edge in their chosen field, the Fast Track MBA shaves 10 months off the length of traditional MBA programs by offering courses in a sequence that guarantees a speedy graduation. Students in the program will typically complete their MBA in 12 -15 months rather than the usual two years. The program begins at the end of May each year and can be completed by the end of June the following year. Associate Dean Charles Cante explained, “In today’s financially-focused world every professional needs to have business knowledge in order to remain competitive and prosper. Whether it’s the new medical doctor, dentist, lawyer or psychologist trying to build a successful practice or the scientist or engineer who wants to position their discovery or an educator who wants to become an administrator, the MBA degree is an essential and positive driving force towards these ends.” Candidates for the program can earn their MBA in one of six areas of specialization including Finance, Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Information Systems and, in 2008, Accounting. Students will be grouped as a cohort, moving through the program together to help build relationships for study, as well as networking opportunities. Courses will be offered in a variety of formats, including traditional, distance learning (online) and hybrid classes. Applications for the inaugural Fast Track cohort are now being accepted. The deadline for the basic application is May 4. Call Veronica Jarek-Prinz at (914) 633-2288 for more information. The Hagan School of Business at Iona College is accredited by the AACSB - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - and is among the top 30 percent of business schools worldwide. The Princeton Review also recently named the Hagan School among the Best 282 Business Schools, 2007 edition. (-30-) For questions or more information please contact:
