46th Annual Trustee Dinner Dance to Honor Margaret P. and Alfred F. Kelly, Jr.

New Rochelle, NY – April 20, 2007— Iona College will honor Margaret P. and Alfred F. Kelly, Jr. at the 46th Annual Trustee Dinner Dance on Friday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Cipriani 42nd Street, in New York City. Tickets for the Trustee Dinner are $600 each and proceeds will benefit the Iona College Scholarship Fund.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Kelly are recipients of undergraduate and graduate degrees from Iona and actively support the College. Mr. Kelly has served as an assistant adjunct professor, a member of the Alumni Board, and a trustee of the College for 13 years. The Kellys have chaired the Annual Trustee Award Dinner Dance and were generous donors to the recent Vision Into Reality campaign. They are both members of the Gingko Society in recognition of their lifetime giving and are generous supporters of the Goal Club, the fundraising arm for Iona’s 22 NCAA Division I athletics programs.

Alfred F. Kelly, Jr. is one of two group presidents at American Express. He oversees a number of key businesses for the company including: U.S. Consumer Card, OPEN (which serves U.S. small business owners), U.S. Consumer Travel, U.S. Customer Service, Global Risk Management, Establishment Services North America, Global Travelers Cheque and Prepaid Services, and Interactive Services worldwide.

Prior to American Express, Kelly was head of Information Systems at the White House, where he led the information processing functions for eight of the agencies that comprise the Executive Office of the President. He also serves on the Boards of Directors for the Hershey Company and Concern Worldwide USA and on the Board of Trustees for New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Margaret P. Kelly has worked in various finance positions at PepsiCo, Inc. and Castle, Coal & Oil, and CBS. She later moved to Arlington, Virginia to work as the assistant treasurer at The American University in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors at the School of The Holy Child in Rye. She recently completed a four-year term on the Board of Directors of Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, and a term as treasurer of the Parents Association of Saints John & Paul School in Larchmont.
