Raymond W. Kelly and Pamela Ann Melroy Address the Iona College Class of 2008 at Madison Square Garden Theater, May 18

Honorary degree recipients:
Raymond W. Kelly, NYC Police Commissioner,
Pamela Ann Melroy, Colonel, USAF (retired) and NASA Astronaut, and
Patrick J. Lynch ’59 Chairman, Iona College Board of Trustees

The 64th Annual Iona College Commencement exercises for nearly 1000 undergraduate and graduate students took place Sunday, May 18 at 6 p.m. in The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Honorary doctorates were presented to Raymond Kelly, New York City Police Commissioner and Colonel Pamela Ann Melroy, USAF (retired) and NASA Astronaut. Both recipients were also keynote speakers and addressed over 5,000 guests, students, administrators and faculty as the graduates proudly transitioned from Iona students to alumni. Patrick J. Lynch ’59, chairman of the Iona College Legal Board of Trustees also received an honorary doctorate for devoting extraordinary energy, skill, and financial support to the mission and future of Iona College. Congratulations to all of our graduates.
