Iona Sponsors New York Times Magazine College Admissions Forum

New Rochelle, NY -- Iona College is sponsoring a sold-out New York Times Magazine forum, “The New Anxiety: Getting into the "Right" College,” Wednesday, September 26 at The Times Center in New York City.

The forum is recommended for any high-school student or parent seeking insight into what really matters when approaching one of life's most important decisions. An expert panel discussion will offer an advanced look at New York Times Magazine findings based on a Times/MTV Poll; how some families in one Westchester community are dealing with the neurosis-inducing admissions process; and down-to-earth guidance on how the admissions process really works.

Moderated by Jim Schachter, deputy editor of The New York Times Magazine, with Jacques Steinberg, New York Times reporter and author of the acclaimed book "The Gatekeepers: Inside the Admissions Process of a Premier College" and Susan Dominus, New York Times Magazine contributing writer.

This event is sold out, however tickets may be available at the door the night of the event. For more information, visit nytimes.whsites.net/talk/calendarEvents.php.
