Iona College Appoints Jonathan C. Ivec As Vice President of Finance and Administration
New Rochelle, NY (June 2010) Jonathan C. Ivec, MBA, CPA, has been appointed Vice President of Finance and Administration for Iona College, New Rochelle. Mr. Ivec is a business management professional whose career of more than 30 years had been focused in the higher education, public accounting, manufacturing, transportation and non-profit sectors.
"Managing the fiscal operations of a nonprofit academic institution is a role of great responsibility. I look forward to working with the Iona leadership team to ensure that we maximize every resource we have to meet the needs of our students and campus community" said Ivec.
From 1995 to 2008, he was Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services of John Carroll University and, most recently, had served as Chief Financial Officer for Cleveland Sight Center, a non-profit agency that serves the visually impaired.
He also held Controller positions for Figgie International, a diversified Fortune 250 company; Manager of Corporate Accounting for White Consolidated Industries, Inc., a multi-national manufacturer of household and commercial appliances and outdoor care products; Senior Internal Auditor and Financial Analyst for Leaseway Transportation Corporation and Senior Accountant for Arthur Young and Company.
Mr. Ivec attended John Carroll University where he obtained a B.A. in Economics. He holds an MBA in Accounting from Ohio State University.
