Dan Bena, Director of Sustainable Development at Pepsico, to Speak About "Green" Issues at Iona College, November 4

Discussion to Focus on Role of Business in Ensuring Environmental Sustainability and Water as a Human Right

New Rochelle, NY (October 2009)  Dan Bena, Director of Sustainable Development for the International Division of PepsiCo, will address a variety of "green" issues including the role of business in ensuring sustainability and water as a human right at a special presentation, 6:45 PM, November 4 at Iona College, 715 North Avenue, New Rochelle. The discussion will take place at  Thomas J. Burke Lounge, Spellman Lounge.

Entitled "Helping People, Planet and Economy...It Matters," the event is co-sponsored by Iona's Environmental Concerns Committee.

At PepsiCo, Mr. Bena serves as liaison between technical functions at the company, government affairs, public policy and field operations. He was appointed this year to the Steering Committee of the United Nations CEO Water Mandate and also serves on the Mandate's working group for Water as a Human Right. He also chairs the Water Resources Committee of the American Beverage Association and has been active in the International Society of Beverage Technologies as an elected board member, founder and chair of the Emerging Scientific Interests Subcommittee.
