Iona College Mourns The Passing of Brother Timothy Bray

Reverend Brother Timothy Dermot Bray, C.F.C., passed away on November 5, 2010

Br. Timothy Bray was born on March 31, 1939. His parents were Timothy Bray and Helen Vavezzo Bray. He joined the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1953 and took his final vows in 1964. He graduated Iona College in 1960 with a BS in Mathematics; he later received Masters Degrees from Manhattan College (Mathematics), Immaculate Conception Seminary (Moral Theology), and Iona College (Pastoral Counseling). He taught in Victoria British Columbia (St. Louis College), Schenectady NY (Bishop Gibbons HS), Newark NJ (Essex Catholic HS), Staten Island NY (Monsignor Farrell High School), New York City (Saint Cecilia's Grammar School, and Iona College. He has been at Iona College since 1996 working in the Counseling Center and teaching Mathematics. He also served as the Novice Master of the Eastern American Province from 1979-1983.
