Senior Executives from The Madison Square Garden Company Will Speak at Iona College's Careers In Sports and Entertainment Dinner Program, February 7

New Rochelle, NY (January 2012) - A pair of senior executives from The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG), also known at the "World's Most Famous Arena," will be the featured speakers at a special Careers in Sports and Entertainment Series program to be hosted by Iona College's Hagan School of Business at 5 PM, Tuesday, February 7. It will be held in the Hegarty Room at the Hynes Athletic Center on the Iona campus, 715 North Avenue, New Rochelle.

The speakers are:

Mike Bair, President, MSG Media
Mr. Bair oversees the strategic direction and operations for all of The Madison Square Garden Company's media entities, including MSG Network, MSG Plus, MSG Varsity, and the Garden's interactive operations. MSG Networks and MSG Plus combine to produce more than 700 live events and more than 400 professional games annually. His division has garnered 166 New York Emmy Awards for sports and entertainment. Over the last four years, his group has won 55 awards, which leads New York area networks and stations.

John Master, Senior Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs, MSG Sports Operations
In his current role, Mr. Master is the primary legal and business counsel for MSG's Sports Division with regard to its business relationships. He negotiates sponsorships, suite licenses, merchandising partnerships and other business deals involving the Knicks, Rangers and Liberty as well as the Garden itself. Prior to MSG, he was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Arena Football League where he was a member of the League's Management Committee and negotiated all major-revenue producing agreements involving sponsorships, licensing, and media.

Michael Guth, Executive Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Strategy for MSG Media
Mr. Guth oversees cross-divisional corporate marketing, strategic development and new sponsor ideas for all of MSG Media's properties, including MSG Networks, Fuse and MSG Interactive. He is at the forefront of all integrated media deals at MSG Media and also supports MSG's sales efforts. Before joining MSG Media, he served as senior vice president for Time Warner Global Marketing where he led strategic marketing initiatives among numerous Time Warner divisions and worked to maximize advertising revenue opportunities for new interactive technology and Video-On-Demand content distribution platforms. Prior to working at Time Warner Global Marketing, he served in a variety of senior integrated marketing positions at companies including Bolt and Coca-Cola where he led the Walmart account team. While at Coca-Cola he worked for several global properties including the Olympics, NASCAR and Country Music. Early in his career he was the Marketing Manager for the New York Mets.

Glenn J. Horine, Executive Director of the Hagan's Center for Sports and Entertainment Studies, said: "Our guests promise to offer their insights on the multiple career opportunities that are connected to a sports and entertainment company such as Madison Square Garden. This forum promises to be of interest to all students, whether they are majoring in the arts and sciences or business."

The program will begin at 5:00 PM and last until 6:45 PM, followed by a Q&A. It is open to graduate and undergraduate students who have expressed an interest in this field, as well as Iona College faculty, alumni and administrators.
