38th Annual IONA College Trustee Award Dinner Dance
Set for April 30 to Honor Real Estate Executive Edward A. Riguardi
New Rochelle, N.Y., April 8 - Iona College will honor Edward A. Riguardi,
Chairman of Colliers ABR, Inc., at its 38th annual Trustee Award Dinner Dance
on Friday, April 30 at 7 pm in the Grand Ballroom of The Waldorf-Astoria
Hotel in New York City. Tickets for the Trustee Award Dinner Dance cost $500
each and all net proceeds will benefit the Iona College Scholarship Fund.
A veteran of over 35 years in the New York real estate industry, Riguardi
has been called the . Dean of Property Management in New York.. Presently he
is Chairman of Colliers ABR, Inc., which manages eight of Manhattan. s leading
high-rise office buildings. Previously, Riguardi was President and Founder
of Koeppel Tener Riguardi where he created the Property Management Group, which
grew to oversee six million square feet of institutional property. He also
managed the growth of the firm. s brokerage, consulting and appraisal businesses.
Riguardi also spent 29 years at Williams Real Estate, rising from the Operations
and Engineering Department to one of the firm. s three Senior Executive Vice
Presidents and one of six members of the firm. s executive committee which
directed the operations of the company. At its peak during Riguardi. s role
in senior management, Williams consisted of nearly 30 million square feet of
office space in 200 Manhattan office buildings servicing over 5,000 tenants.
With degrees in engineering, real estate and insurance, Riguardi is a licensed
real estate and insurance broker. He has earned the RPA designation from BOMA
International, the CPM designation from IREM, and CRE from the American Society
of Real Estate Counselors. In 1982, Riguardi was honored by the Real Estate
Board of New York as its . Management Man of the Year,. and he has won countless
accolades for his work in safety regulations, city codes, rehabilitation of
properties and adding value to a client. s property.
Riguardi. s son, Peter, is an 1983 graduate of Iona College and currently
serves as a Vice President at Colliers, ABR, Inc.
