Iona College Student Wins Robert Puglisi Merit
Award in Advertising from the Advertising Club of Westchester
New Rochelle, N.Y., October 7 - Lenka Patschova-Macko, a senior marketing
major at Iona College, has been awarded the 1999 Robert Puglisi Merit
Award and a $750 scholarship grant by the Advertising Club of Westchester.
Each year, the Puglisi Award is presented to an undergraduate student
attending a college in Westchester who plans to enter advertising, promotion,
public relations, marketing communications, or a related field. The award
is named for the Club's late founder and it recognizes achievement in
academics, social consciousness and integrity in advertising and marketing-related
fields.
Iona College, founded by the Christian Brothers in 1940, is a private,
coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of American Catholic
higher education. Iona offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts,
science and business administration, as well as Master of Arts, Master
of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees and numerous
post-graduate programs.
