Message of Condolence from President Joseph E. Nyre In Memoriam Lt. Richard Nappi ‘86

The Iona College community mourns the passing of Criminal Justice alumnus and FDNY 9/11 hero Lt. Richard Nappi ’86 of Engine 237 Brooklyn, NY, who perished in the line of duty on Monday, April 16. Lt. Nappi recently visited his alma mater to attend the 9/11 10th Anniversary Commemoration this past September. A married father of two, Lt. Nappi lived in Farmingville, NY, and was a firefighter with the FDNY for the past 17 years. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Nappi family, friends and fellow firefighters who knew and loved him.
