Students To Present At Undergraduate Research Day, Congresswoman Nita Lowey to Be Keynote Speaker

New Rochelle, NY (April 19, 2012) On Friday April 20, 2012, Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey (D, NY) will speak in recognition of student scholarly achievement at Iona College’s 3rd Annual Undergraduate Research Day. Iona College will host its 3rd annual Undergraduate Research Day (URD). URD is a national program that allows students to present their research, collaborative or independent, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The event will take place at the Iona College Hynes Athletics Center at noon.

Participating in URD allows students in all disciplines to recognize and appreciate each other's work. It provides opportunities for students and faculty to interact and share ideas, encouraging new research projects for both faculty and students. This year all presentations will be in the format of a poster presentation. There are over 120 student participants and over 70 posters to be presented.
