James P. Hynes, '69, '01H Chairman of the Iona College Board of Legal Trustees Announces the Chairman's Challenge to Increase Board Contributions

New Rochelle, NY (September 27, 2012) James P. Hynes, '69, '01H: Chairman of the College Board of Legal Trustees has announced a fundraising challenge to all Board members. In the spirit of philanthropy and affirming the strategic plan, Mr. Hynes has challenged the members to increase their annual gift to the College and in turn he would match each gift dollar for dollar.

These gifts and the generosity of the matching challenge solidify the commitment of the board to Iona’s future and to propelling the strategic plan forward.

“This is a tremendous affirmation of the board to move the College forward. These contributions will enable Iona to achieve its ambitious strategic plan and enhance the Iona experience for our students and faculty,” said Paul Sutera, senior vice president of advancement and external affairs.

The Hynes Challenge was announced at a recent meeting of the members and is effective until December 31, 2012.
