The Gerri Ripp Center for Career Development offers a variety of services for employers to recruit qualified students and alumni for full-time and internship positions. Our career advisors are available to discuss the appropriate strategy to meet your organization’s hiring needs.

Iona’s commitment to prepare students thoroughly to enter the job market, helps ensure that recruiters interview informed, qualified and interested candidates. The Center for Career Development helps students prepare for all aspects of the job search including, identifying appropriate opportunities, resume writing, videotaped practice interviews and organizational research.

Additional Recruitment Services

In addition to online job postings through GAELlink and Iona Hot Jobs listed above, the following resources are available.

• On-Campus Recruiting - Post your full-time position and screen seniors and graduate students on-campus during the fall and spring semester. Contact Career Development to schedule a recruitment date.
• Resume Referral Program - Post your internship/job description through Career Development. Resumes are collected and forwarded to you for your review. You select qualified candidates you wish to interview at your site.
• Career & Internship Expo - Register for our annual Career & Internship Expo to recruit students and alumni for your internship and full-time opportunities. The next expo is scheduled for February 25, 2010. Employer Expo Letter with Fees.
• Information Sessions - Arrange an open presentation with students to discuss your organizations hiring needs.

Employers Getting Involved

We welcome and value our employer’s assistance in helping to prepare our students for a variety of recruitment activities. Employers assist Career Development with conducting mock interviews, serving as a career information panelist, preparing students for meeting employers at the career expo and interview/resume workshops.
