Information for Faculty

Welcome to the faculty segment of the Career Development website. The Gerri Ripp Center for Career Development, located on the second floor of Spellman Hall, offers students a variety of services and information. We are excited to collaborate with you in preparing Iona’s graduates for a career or graduate school.

Overview of the Center for Career Development

All current undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of any of the resources we offer, including:

Accessing Internships, Full-time and Part-time Professional Positions Listed on GAELlink:

All paid and credit internships, full-time positions and part-time professional positions are listed online through GAELlink. There is no cost to the employer if they list the job at Iona only. Students are able to search for internships by job function, specific industry or location.

Part-time non-professional jobs (eg: childcare, clerical positions) are posted on the “Part-time Non-Professional” portion of our webpage. After a part time position is listed for a month, it will no longer be active but can be retrieved as an archived position for a year.

Requesting Career Development Presentations:

The staff of Career Development offers workshops and presentations to classes and clubs in a variety of areas and targeted to meet students’ career development needs. Some recent presentations have included: Overview of Career Development, Exploring Careers, Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Winning Interviews, and Internship Information.
