Welcome to the faculty segment of the Career Development website. The Gerri Ripp Center for Career Development, located on the second floor of Spellman Hall, offers students a variety of services and information. We are excited to collaborate with you in preparing Iona’s graduates for a career or graduate school.
All current undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of any of the resources we offer, including:
All paid and credit internships which are received by the Center for Career Development are listed online with GAELlink. As with the full and part-time job listings, there is no cost to the employer. Students are able to search for internships by job function, specific industry or location.
Full-time positions are posted on GAELlink. Part-time positions are posted on the “Hot Jobs” portion of our webpage. After a part time position is listed for a month, it will no longer be active but can be retrieved as an archived position for a year.
The staff of Career Development offers workshops and presentations to classes and clubs in a variety of areas and targeted to meet students’ career development needs. Some recent presentations have included: Overview of Career Development, Exploring Careers, Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Winning Interviews, and Internship Information.
Career Advisors are available to students by appointment Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 4:30. To make an appointment, students can call (914) 633-2462. Students may stop by at any time during office hours to use our resource library. Open Hours (no appointment necessary) are available throughout the semester and specific days/times are listed on our website. Students may also email careerdevelopment@iona.edu with their questions or concerns.
