Crisis Management - As our country and all colleges and universities comes to grip with the important issues surrounding personal and community safety, it is important to know that Iona College does have a crisis management plan in place. The safety of our community has always been and remains a top priority for the College.

It is important to realize that well before the events that led to the devastating incident of September 11, 2001, Iona College realized the need to establish a procedure that could quickly and easily be deployed to respond to any specific issue or incident that would have an impact on our community. Throughout the years, we have continued to enhance and refine the plan to provide our community with a greater sense of safety and improved communications. Since information is our best resource, the College will, as needed, provide the community with safety bulletins pertaining to national, state, local, and College issues. Our Text Messaging System has been established to enhance our ability to communicate with members of the community during a crisis. I would strongly encourage you to sign up immediately for this system, if you have not as yet done so.
