Q: How do I use my meal plan card? At which locations and facilities can I use the card?
A: Your meal plan is based on a declining balance system. For residential students, at the beginning of the semester, your meal plan dollars are placed on your meal plan card. The meal plan is included in the room and board charge for Iona Residential Students. The meal plan card (ID card) acts as a debit card. Each purchase is deducted from one of your meal plan accounts by swiping your card, and your remaining balance will be shown on your requested receipt. Purchases made with the meal plan card on campus are tax-exempt. Cash purchases are not tax-exempt. You can use your meal plan dollars at all Iona College dining service facilities and at the participating off-campus eateries.
