You will receive three formal announcements to save or send to relatives or friends. If you wish to purchase personalized announcements you may do so by contacting Jostens.

Cap and Gowns

All students and faculty members taking part in the Honors Convocation, Undergraduate Commencement or Graduate Commencement ceremonies must order a cap and gown. If you have missed the online ordering deadline of March 10, 2013 please contact Claire Morrissey.

All graduating students, faculty and staff who have ordered their robes (cap, gown, and hood) must pick up their regalia at the Commencement Fair in Mulcahy Gym on Thursday April 18, 2013. Graduates from the Rockland Graduate Center may pick up their robes at the Rockland campus on April 22, 2013.

Iona College assumes the cost of the graduation regalia for both faculty and students. Disregard any messages on the Jostens Web site regarding payment. Remember, you have not completed placing your order unless you have received an order confirmation number.

2013 Class Gift

Make a contribution to the Class of 2013 Gift! If you make a contribution of $25 or more, you will receive a complimentary class padfolio! If you have any questions or are interested in making a gift, please contact Ben See, phonathon coordinator, at (914) 633-2443.

Diplomas

Diplomas are not distributed at Commencement. June graduates will be notified by the Registrar when diplomas are ready for pick-up (after June 30). August graduates will be notified when their degrees are conferred.

Eligibility

Eligibility to participate in Commencement is based on completion of degree requirements by January, February, April, June and August 2013. (All students should have no more than two courses to complete by the end of the spring semester; any exceptions must be approved by the appropriate dean.)

E-mail Communications

If your e-mail account has been inactivated, it is your responsibility to contact Charles Carlson to provide a current non-Iona e-mail address so that you may receive necessary Commencement information.

Graduation Studio Pictures

While the date has passed to have your picture featured in the 2013 ICANN (Yearbook) there are still opportunities to have Graduation portraits taken at a local studio. Please contact Lifetouch representative, Michael Durinzi at mdurinzi@lifetouch.com or via cell at (610) 291-6637 for more information and convenient locations.

Professional Photographs at the Ceremony

Professional photographs will be taken of each graduate; proofs will be mailed a few weeks after the ceremony. For questions related to pictures please contact Island Photography at (800) 869-0908.

Reminder about Student Accounts

Your student account must be paid in full and all financial holds addressed and lifted before you pick up your robes and tickets. To check the status of your student account, log on to Peoplesoft. If necessary, please contact the Student Financial Services office at (914) 633-2497.

School Rings

Revisit the unforgettable experience as a Gael over and over again with an Official Iona College ring available from Jostens. They will be on campus in the Robert V. LaPenta Student Union on scheduled dates throughout the year, as well as the Commencement Fair.

Yearbooks

The Iona College Annual (ICANN) yearbook will be ready for distribution to full-time undergraduates on April 18 at the Commencement Fair in Mulcahy Gymnasium. Other graduates may purchase a copy of the ICANN for $45, if available.
