What is the Success Center?
The Success Center is an after school homework help program sponsored by Iona’s Center for Campus Ministries and the generous financial support of the Con Ed Corporation.
Who can receive tutoring?
Since our founding at HOPE Community Service, we have traditionally served families who otherwise would have difficulty affording private tutoring. For over 10 years, the Success Center has offered New Rochelle youngsters a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence.
- The Center serves children in grades 1st through 8th
- Services are completely free of charge (there is a $35.00 non refundable supplies/snacks fee per semester)
- Tutoring is provided by caring and enthusiastic college student volunteers
- Many of our volunteers are studying to become teachers in Iona’s accredited education program
