Inter-Residence Council (IRC)

"Bringing Res Life To The Max!"

Mission: To improve the quality of the on-campus living experience.

Purpose: As the representative body of Iona's on-campus residents, the Inter-Residence Council sponsors many events, programs, and activities. IRC also acts as the students' voice for issues, concerns, and policies that affect residents. As collaboration between the office of Residential Life and the office of Student Development, this organization works to maintain a safe, rewarding, and fun residence experience.

Goals for 2011-2012:

Fall Events: Boardwalk carnival, Homecoming comedian, Halloween masquerade, first ever door decorating competition, Hospitality supper, winter ball and elderly outreach

Spring Events: Football night, Gael Guts, Game show and a Ruby Tailgate Party!

New Proposals: Red box, Automatic air fresheners for Rice Hall bathrooms, New Loftus Hall dryers, White boards on all the resident doors. More to come!
