Housing Available for Four Years

Just a few weeks ago, Brother James Liguori, CFC announced at our Fall Convocation that, beginning immediately, the College will now be provide four-year housing for all students. This exciting information was also accompanied by news that plans are underway to open a new residence hall on campus in the fall 2012. While everyone in our community is excited about this news, we are also happy about the opportunity that it now presents for current students. Housing will be available for students in their junior and senior years.

Please know that students and their parents will no longer need to worry about hunting for an apartment or house in the area. While we know that some students enjoy living in our surrounding community, we are pleased to be able to offer this option. Over the next few months, information about housing will be sent directly to current freshmen, sophomore and junior students about the room selection process. Then, the process to secure a space and determine a specific room will begin in February. For now, it is important that everyone in our community knows that there will be spaces available for upper-class students. Please rest assured that the College is here to help and all students will be accommodated with a safe, affordable, convenient option.

The following are just a few reasons why remaining on campus is an ideal option:

  • Safety and Security
Residence halls are staffed 24 hours with personnel who are trained to handle crisis situations. Students can always depend on the Resident Assistant to respond to their inquiries such as facilities issues and major or minor issues within the halls. College security personnel and a Residence Hall Director are on duty 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week to respond to emergencies. You can rest assured that we will take care of the issue at hand.
  • Cost
A residential student can enjoy eating from a number of dining establishments with a budget of $3,300 per academic year. Students do not have to pay monthly utility bills such as cable and Internet, electricity, water or gas. Statements sent to parents of students residing on-campus bills are not separated, they include tuition, and room and board, so there is less of a need to worry about monthly costs.
  • Convenience
Living on campus allows students easy access to all College facilities such as the gymnasium, classrooms, cafeteria, library and parking garage. Students are able to get what they want when they need it. So there is no need to drive, look for parking or pay for a cab.
  • Community
Living in community with your friends makes being social easy and fun! Students who reside on campus feel a sense of community that allows them to easily make friends and find a listening ear. Residential Life provides social programs to enhance the college experience to help students meet one another and make life-long connections. Being on campus also makes you more likely to attend campus events.
