Information and Decision Technology Management Club Charter
ARTICLE I - Name: INFORMATION AND DECISION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT CLUB ARTICLE II - Purpose: ARTICLE III - Membership: Section I - Composition: The club shall be composed of part-time and full-time students of Iona College. Section 2 - Qualifications: Prospective members must express an interest in becoming a member. In addition, a member will be expected to regularly participate in club activities. ARTICLE IV - Officers: Section I - Nominations and Elections: A potential candidate must be nominated by a member of the club. The nomination must be seconded by at least three other club-members. Neither the candidate nor the nominator's will be eligible to second the nomination. Regular elections for officers shall be held at the last club meeting of each academic year. The quorum necessary to hold an election shall be 75% of the total membership. Election to office will be by majority vote of those members present. Section 2 - Eligibility: Any member in good standing who is a declared major in any of those offered by the Management Science and Systems Department will be considered to be eligible for nomination and election to office. The one exception will be that the person holding the office of Treasurer must not be a senior. Section 3 -Term of Office: The term of office will begin on May 1st and will run until April 30th of the following year. No person may be an officer of any rank or combination of ranks of the Information and Decision Technology Management Club for more than one academic year. Section 4 - Responsibilities and Duties:

ARTICLE V- Faculty Advisor: Section I - Appointment: The advisor will be appointed by the President of Iona College after his/'her name is submitted to the Dean of Student Affairs by the President of the club. Section 2 - Duties : To serve as a guide and counselor to the organization and its members. The advisor will be requested to attend the first and last meetings of each semester, and is welcome to attend any meeting that he/she so desires. He/she should also be informed of all activities that the club will undertake. Section 3 - Qualification: The faculty advisor may be any current full-time faculty member of the Information and Decision Technology management Department. ARTICLE VI- Meetings: Section I - Scheduling: Meetings will be conducted during one of -the school activity hours. Meetings should be scheduled at least once per month. Section 2 - Special Meetings: The President or Advisor may call special meetings when the need arises. ARTICLE VII- Committees: Any IDTM club member is eligible to become a member of a committee. ARTICLE VIII- Method of amending constitution: Section I - Quorum : For passage of amendment legislation the total number of voters must be 80% of club membership. Section 2 - Eligibility: Any member in good standing may participate in the amending voting process. Section 3 - Member notification of a meeting: A meeting for the purpose of amending the constitution will be announced at least one week prior to the event. ARTICLE IX- Authority: The authority of this club to function according to this constitution shall be contingent upon delegation of such authority by the Student Government Association. ARTICLE X- Operational Particulars: Specifics of conducting the affairs of the Information and Decision Technology Management Club including, but not limited to, dues, order of business, parliamentary procedure, definitions, etc. are contained in the Bylaws of - the club.
