Activities:

Designed and sold totes for raising money for a Model UN Conference
Initiated a service project in collaboration with the organization Adopt-A-Soldier, to raise money and send supplies and cards to soldiers currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Hosted UN Day Celebrations:
- Screened a movie: Hotel Rwanda
- Screened a documentary: Not on our Watch: Tales from Darfur
- Hosted the Liberian Ambassador to the United States of America who gave on talk on Post-conflict development in Liberia
Took a group of students, in collaboration with Campus Ministries, for the Inaugural Frederick M. Schweitzer Holocaust Memorial Lecture by Dr. Samantha Powers, Pulitzer Prize winner for A Problem from Hell: American Foreign Policy in the Age of Genocide, at Manhattan College.
Attended the 55th Harvard National Model United Nations Conference 2009 at Boston with a delegation of 7 students.
Planning to sponsor events on Earth Day and Iona College Heritage Week.
