Gaels Activities Board (GAB)

Gaels Activities Board serves as the central programming organization at Iona College. GAB seeks to provide campus wide programs in the areas of education, culture, recreation, and social keeping in mind the varied interests represented in the demographic make-up of the College.

GAB Executive Board

Lindsay DeCarlo
Chair

Lindsay DeCarlo is a senior at Iona and she is majoring in Speech Communication with the hope of having a career in student affairs in higher education. This is the fourth year Lindsay has been on GAB and her second year as Chair of the organization. Lindsay is also a resident assistant in the Eastchester apartments. She was born and raised in New Haven, CT. In her spare time she loves hanging out with her friends and family, watching movies and baking.

Mary Jo Morgan
Secretary

Mary J. Morgan hails from Cleveland, Ohio, although she was born in Langhorne, PA. She is currently a sophomore and is majoring in English. In her spare time (not that she has any), Mary Jo loves writing, playing piano, and being involved in theater.

Ashley Mona
Treasurer

Ashley is a senior at Iona College. She is a Business Administration major with a minor in Political Science. She is a commuter and also a member of the Edmund Rice Society and the Commuter Student Association. You can easily find her in LaPenta as she practically lives there during the school year either helping out with events or just relaxing. She enjoys spending her free time with her friends, listening to music, and watching movies.

Bryana Brady
Publicity Chair

Bryana Brady is a Junior at Iona College pursuing a degree in Business Information Systems. She is the current Publicity Chair for the Gaels Activities Board, and served as President of the Inter-Residence council in 2010-2011. Bryana hopes to encourage students to enrich their college experience by participating in student life outside of the classroom. She is from Brewster, New York, and is currently residing Off-Campus.

Fatima Goncalves
Recruitment and Retention Chair

Fatima Goncalves is a senior from Mahopac, NY, who is majoring in Speech Communications with a minor in Psychology.  Aside from giving her time to GAB, Fatima is also in Tara Knights Society and Edmund Rice Society. Fatima is very hard to miss on campus as she is always running around doing something from going to classes, meetings, events, or catching up with friends.  Aside from her busy schedule at school, she spends time with family and friends and attends community events.  Back in October 2010, Fatima donated her hair for the second time to Locks of Love. Upon her graduation in the Spring, Fatima plans on entering the workforce with a goal of working for her Masters in the near future.

Amanda Martino
Live Performance Chair

My name is Amanda Martino and I'm a junior majoring in Public Relations; after graduation I hope to get my masters in Journalism. I'm from Westchester, NY and one day I hope to work in the fashion industry or write for a magazine.

Matt Harrigan
Union Programming Chair

Matt Harrigan is a sophomore at Iona. He is an education major. Mat is originally from the Bronx. Some of his hobbies include sleeping, Xbox, movies and giving tours.

Maria Pelosi
Travel and Tours Chair

Maria Pelosi is a sophomore at Iona. She is a sociology major with a psychology minor. Maria is from North Massapequa, Long Island. She enjoys reading, making photo collages and dancing.

Aislinn Applyby
Nooners and Novelties Chair

My name is Aislinn Appleby and I am from Long Island, New York.  I am a junior and majoring in Criminal Justice. I enjoy listening to music, reading, hanging out, and working hard to achieve my goals and dreams. A quote that is very important to me and guides my way of life was stated by Eleanor Roosevelt, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

KerryAnn Rodriguez
Multicultural Programming Chair

KerryAnn Rodriguez is a member of the Honors Class of 2012 and a criminal justice major. After graduation, KerryAnn hopes to attend law school for criminal law. She has been a member of the Gaels Activities Board as the multicultural chair since 2010 and a member of phi sigma sigma sorority since spring 2009. She loves to hangout with her sisters and friends, dance & sing, and watercolor paint.
