Beta Chi Sorority

Beta Chi Sorority lives by the philosophy of: “To Be Mutually Mindful of Each Other, Of One Heart and One Soul.”

Beta Chi is a local sorority that was founded on Iona’s campus in 1988 based on similar interests and attitudes. The sisters pride themselves on their dedication to one another as well as to the community around them. The girls make an effort to create a stronger presence in the Iona community through promoting loyalty, unity, friendship and knowledge. Eventually they hope to continue to grow and become a national sorority that was founded at Iona College.

Philosophy:“To be mutually mindful of each other, of one heart and one soul.”

Values: Beta Chi strives for success through strong academic standings and community service related activities. Additionally we pride ourselves on the life long bonds that we have created with one another. Beta Chi will stand to develop a high moral and mental standard throughout Iona's organizations and the community through social and service events. Beta Chi encourages academic excellence, ethical standards, and self-esteem that will not only enhance the college years but also remain with each sister of Beta Chi forever.
