Council for Greek Governance

The Council for Greek Governances (CGG) mission is to serve as a governing body to the Iona Fraternity and Sorority community and its primary responsibilities are to establish and enforce policies and adjunction of disciplinary infractions relating to Greek-letter organizations. It serves as an advisory capacity to the Office of Student Development, Student Government Association, and the Administration of Iona College. CGG acts as a medium for the exchange of information and experience for the improvement of the social Greek system and the Fraternity and Sorority life at Iona. CGG also exists to provide leadership and guidance to the Fraternity and Sorority community by conducting or promoting educational, philanthropic programming, and by recognizing new Greek-letter organizations.

The Council for Greek Governance is comprised of the officially recognized Social Greek Letter organizations at Iona College. The goal of the Council is to improve the quality of student life and to contribute to the general well being of the campus. This organization sponsors numerous campus events and fund raising activities.
