Phi Gamma Chi Sorority

The Phi Gamma Chi chapter at Iona was founded in 1988. The sisters are committed to enhancing the spiritual and cultural awareness of the community.

Mission:
*Phi Gamma Chi Sorority was founded in 1988 in order to dedicate themselves to enhancing religious and cultural awareness on and around the Iona College campus.

Values:
*“Make us a Channel” acts as their motto as it relates to the fact that they are composed of such a diverse group of women. Each individual contributes her own unique talents, experiences, culture, and personality. Despite their individuality, the sisters are bound together as one by a bond of sisterhood. They believe that the word sisterhood means a friendship that will last a lifetime.

Closed meetings that are held on Tuesday nights at 9:45 pm

Community Services:
While they work closely with the Boys and Girls Club hosting play dates and parties with the kids, they also do activities with Campus Ministries. They host at least two hospitality dinners a year, and Phi Gamma Chi, as an organization, likes to attend a least one Midnight run a semester.
