S.O.C.A. Students of Caribbean Ancestry

The purpose of S.O.C.A. is to promote diversity and knowledge of various Caribbean cultures. S.O.C.A. brings awareness to the college community of current issues, events, culture, heritage, and lifestyles of the Caribbean people. Our goal is to make the college community more aware of Caribbean culture through workshops, discussion panels, arts and crafts, movie nights, parties, volunteer work and more. We seek to challenge the misconceptions of each distinct country of the Caribbean and learn interesting facts. S.O.C.A works closely with other clubs in promoting various events on campus. Although, the name stands for Students of Caribbean Ancestry, the organization is open to all races and nationalities.
