S.O.C.A. Students of Caribbean Ancestry

S.O.C.A. stands for Students of Caribbean Ancestry.

Mission:
The purpose of S.O.C.A. is to promote diversity and knowledge of various Caribbean cultures. S.O.C.A. brings awareness to the college community of current issues, events, culture, heritage, and lifestyle the Caribbean people. Our goal is to make the college community more aware of Caribbean culture through workshops, discussion panels, arts and crafts, movie nights, parties, carnivals and more. S.O.C.A. has been officially recognized as a club or organization to the IONA College community as of the spring semester 2006. The S.O.C.A club also works together with other clubs in promoting various events. Although, the name stands for Students of Caribbean Ancestry, anyone is more than welcome to join this organization.

Meeting Times

We meet on Tuesdays at 12 every other Tuesday during activity hour.
