Mission

Students for Peace and Justice is an advocacy group focused on peace, human rights, and social justice around the world. Our goal is to educate the IONA community about the social issues and the humanitarian crises that are happening throughout the world. By educating the community we hope to revive activism on campus about these very important issues. We believe more than anything that if we stand together, we can make a difference.

The student club also works in partnership with the Peace and Justice Studies program on programming and awareness.

  • For the past 3 years we have had a group of representatives from Invisible Children come to speak about the horrors of child soldiers in Africa
