The SGA is composed of elected student representatives, academic senators, and campus organization presidents or their designees. The SGA attempts to enhance the educational experience of each student, and is based on the belief that a complete education extends beyond the academic program.

Also, the SGA maintains that this development can be attained through active involvement in student organizations, founded on the principles of cooperation, concern, leadership and service. It also provides a means of effective communication between the students, faculty and administration.

2007 - 2008 Executive Board
	Scott Mangino President Scott Mangino is a senior, Business Administration Major from Troy, NY. His primary interests include hanging out with friends, listening to some good tunes, going on road trips, and running. After Scott graduates from Iona he hopes to attend graduate school and get his masters degree in Higher Education Administration. Scott couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with and representing such a passionate, caring, and devoted student body. 	Ivan Reyes Vice President Ivan Reyes is currently a senior at Iona College working to get his Bachelors’ of Arts in Economics and Finance. He has gone to this school for four years now and he has never been happier. He is currently enrolled in SGA, Psi Rho Pi fraternity, Economics club, Army ROTC at Fordham and CGG. When he is not around school running around the campus to get to his classes or meetings, you can find him at the movies or at work. He loves to go out and play pool or basketball in his spare time, though he states he is not too good at either. Mostly though he'll be on the phone with his friends or chilling at someone’s house. 	Gregory Haidemenos Treasurer Greg Haidemenos is in his junior year here at Iona. Majoring in Biology, under Pre-Med advisement, he plans on attending medical school in two years and becoming a doctor shortly after. One thing you will notice about Greg is that you can never find him anywhere without his iPod. He loves playing lacrosse, working out, and hanging out with some good people. Greg has held many leadership positions during his academic years and is very excited about making some changes around campus as part of the Student Government Association. 	Stephanie Krumm Corresponding Secretary Stephanie Krumm is very excited to be a part of the SGA E-Board this year. She is very dedicated and determined and is excited to share her ideas and experiences with the people she will be working with. Stephanie is going to be a sophomore and is majoring in English with a minor in Pre-Law. She loves to sing and theatre. Stephanie is a very energetic person with a huge heart. 	Ashley Smith Recording Secretary Ashley Smith is a junior, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Policy. She is originally from Bay Ridge Brooklyn and went to Fontbonne Hall Academy. She is interested in a variety of things, some of which include music, movies, theatre and hanging out with friends. She hopes to one day hold public office and also hopes that she can do great things with her time spent in SGA.
