The SGA is composed of elected student representatives, academic senators, and campus organization presidents or their designees. The SGA attempts to enhance the educational experience of each student, and is based on the belief that a complete education extends beyond the academic program.
Also, the SGA maintains that this development can be attained through active involvement in student organizations, founded on the principles of cooperation, concern, leadership and service. It also provides a means of effective communication between the students, faculty and administration.

Scott O'Donnell Scott O'Donnell is a major in History and Political Science at Iona College and is a senior in the Honors Program. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Scott is an avid sports fan and a die-hard supporter of the New York Mets and New York Rangers. During his first three years at Iona, Scott was a member of WICR Iona College Radio and served as President and General Manager of WICR for the last three semesters. Due to the numerous MC/DJ jobs that came from his role as President and GM, Scott earned the nickname "The Voice of Iona." Jesse Ladoue Jesse is in her senior year at Iona College, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Television and Video. She hopes to be reporting the latest sports news from the sidelines someday. As a member of the Iona Cheerleaders and a former class senator, Jesse will be bringing plenty of "Iona Pride" to the table. She looks to shift the typical view of the VP for Administration from the "bearer of bad news" by being a resource to help organizations have a successful year. Even though Jesse is the only female on the executive board this year, she will definitely be keeping the boys in line. |

Matthew Baker Matthew Baker is in his junior year at Iona College. He currently is pursuing an undergraduate degree of Finance from the Hagan School of Business and an Economics degree from the School of Arts and Science. As an honors student and the Resident Assistant of the honors floor in Conese Hall, Matt can often be found engaging with his fellow Ionian scholars in discussions on just about anything, though often on subjects bordering on "nerdy." He loves playing and watching sports, but also enjoys hanging out with friends and the occasional video game system. Last year, Matt really got started in his involvement on campus and has a strong passion about making Iona better for all. Improvement with integrity and intelligence are what he wants to embody and, as VP for Finance, Matt wants to help provide as many opportunities as possible for students, clubs and organizations through streamlined budgeting and program funding. If you have any questions or suggestions about programs, funding, or the school in general, please know that Matt really wants to hear you out. |
