OVERNIGHT ORIENTATION SCHEDULE FOR STUDENTS- DAY ONE

8:00 - 9:00 am Students Move In-Loftus Hall (Residential Life/Edmund Rice Society) Registration at Loftus: Residential Life Staff & Edmund Rice Society (ERS)
8:00 - 9:00 am After checking in at Loftus, please bring your laptops to the Help Desk located in Ryan Library
9:00 - 9:30 am Mulcahy (Hynes West) -Registration by Edmund Rice Society; ID Pictures may be taken in LaPenta until 9:15 am or at the end of the day tomorrow; Breakfast; Informal meeting with the Iona College Community.
9:30 - 10:00 am Greetings from the President & Welcoming Prayer and Remarks on Blessed Edmund Rice & St. Columba by Bro. Devlin
10:10 - 11:10 am Students: Go to Vitanza Commons with ERS for Icebreakers
Session I:
11:15 - 1:15 pm		 IT/Advisor Component - Students go to Labs for IT session and to meet with their advisor from 12:30-1:15 pm.
1:15 - 2:00 pm LUNCH
Class Schedule Change - If advisor deems it necessary students can change their schedule in LaPenta A
2:00 - 2:45 pm Respect & Community - Presentation by SGA and the Diversity Committee - End Zone
2:50 - 3:50 pm College Issues - Edmund Rice Society will discuss important topics with students
Session II:
11:15 - 12:00 pm		 Respect & Community - Presentation by SGA and the Diversity Committee - End Zone
12:05 - 1:05 pm College Issues - Edmund Rice Society will discuss important topics with students
1:15 - 2:00 pm LUNCH - Schedule change only for those students who met with their advisor
2:00 - 4:00 pm IT/Advisor Component - Students go to Labs for IT session and to meet with their advisor from 3:15 - 4:00
3:55 - 4:20 pm Class Schedule Change - If advisor deems it necessary students can change their schedule in the Hegarty Room
3:55 - 4:20 pm Snack in Mulcahy
4:20 - 5:00 pm Heritage Trail starts from Mulcahy - students become familiar with campus
5:05 - 6:00 pm Career Development Presentation in Romita Auditorium (Ryan Library)
6:00 pm Dinner in Mulcahy - tee shirts are given out by ERS
8:00 pm Interactive Variety Show in Murphy Auditorium
9:30 pm "Club Iona" in the LaPenta Student Union
11:30 pm Check in & Floor meetings by the members of the Edmund Rice Society

8:00 - 9:00 am Assist your student with Move In at Loftus Hall (Residential Life/Edmund Rice Society); Registration at Loftus: Residential Life Staff & Edmund Rice Society
9:00 - 9:30 am Make your way to Mulcahy in Hynes West for Continental Breakfast and an Informal Meeting with members of the Iona College Community.
9:30 - 10:00 am Greetings from the President & Welcoming Prayer and Remarks on Blessed Edmund Rice & St. Columba by Bro. Devlin
10:10 - 11:10 am You will remain in Mulcahy for an Interactive Presentation by Bro. Devlin
11:15 - 11:55 pm Meet the Dean & Advisors (If you son or daughter is interested in Arts & Scienceyou will go to Murphy Auditorium; if they are interested in the Hagan School of
Business you will go to McGrath A&B)
12:05 - 12:45 pm Choices by Jackie Ripepi of the Counseling Center and Roots & Wings presented by a member of the Counseling Center in Murphy Auditorium
12:55 - 1:15pm Student Financial Services Presentation (a must for all parents!)in Mulcahy
1:15 - 2:00 pm LUNCH - sit & relax your child is in good hands!
2:00 - 2:30 pm Health Issues - Presentation by Bro. Devlin & Felicia Colangelo in Mulcahy
2:30 - 3:00 pm Expectations for a college student - Presentation by the Division of Student Life
3:00 - 3:30 pm Table Presentations by Advancement, Annual Giving, Office of Mission and Ministry, College Assistance Program, Career Development, Counseling Center, Libraries, Off Campus Housing, Residential Life, Retention, Samuel Rudin Academic Resource Center, Student Development, Security & Wellness Center
3:30 pm Parents go on Tour (if requested) - PARENTS DAY ENDS! Go home, relax, put your feet up and enjoy the peace
Day Two
2:30 pm Parents pick up at Loftus Hall
ID Pictures can be taken at the end of the day/residents will receive their ID on move in day; commuters can pick up their ID on day two.
