  • July 30: Herstory, The Not-So-Good Life of the Colonial Goodwife
    • Presenters:Ehris Urban and Velya Jancz-Urban
      Their recently published joint memoir will be available for sale and signing.

Writing Workshop

Instructor: Claire Lynch
11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

This class offers you the opportunity to turn your memories into memoirs and experiment with a variety of other writing genres in a nurturing atmosphere.

The afternoon, while edifying, is mostly for fun!

  • July 9: Songs With a History
    • Singer/Guitarist Bill Lauter offers a playbook of songs and talks about their origins and history.
  • July 16: Ponderables
    • Joyce Kent gives us some things to think about in the field of science.
  • July 23: Wine: A Taste of Italy
    • Greg Koster offers a wine-tasting class dedicated to the wines of Italy.
      So we know how much wine to buy, please fill out and return the enclosed response card to Greg if you plan to attend.
  • July 30: Art and the Artist
    • Sculptor/Artist Geraldine Wiles offers a class about art and the artist’s life with an actual art lesson for all of us.
      Guest potters will attend, bringing pieces of their work for purchase.

The Art Workshop

If you took any of the Art classes in the spring and wish to continue working, this is the place to be. If you want just a few drawing lessons, try your hand here. Bring your favorite drawing materials with you!

There is no class on July 30. You are invited to attend the Arts and Artist class instead.
