Iona College has launched its Summer Pre-College Program for rising high school juniors and seniors. The program will run from Sunday, July 9 through Saturday, July 22, 2017.
Over the course of two weeks, students will attend college-level courses and receive three transferable credits in one of six areas: business, web design, theatre, psychology speech/language pathology or broadcast media & sports communication. Students will experience the personal attention that is a hallmark of the Iona experience, interacting with faculty and staff and receiving the supportive attention of the entire College community.
Outside the classroom, students will have a college experience by living in an air-conditioned residence hall, eating in Iona’s dining facilites and taking advantage of amenities including an on-campus Starbucks. Students also will enjoy local excursions and visits to Broadway and other attractions in New York City.
“Our proximity to Manhattan and our safe, beautiful campus location provide a wonderful environment for students from all over the country who are seeking to explore career options and majors while earning academic credit,” said Lauren H. Mounty, Ph.D.
, interim vice president for enrollment management.
