Lauren H. Mounty, Ph.D., has been named vice president for Enrollment Management at Iona College. Dr. Mounty, who has had a remarkable career in the field of higher education, will continue to oversee the admissions and student financial services functions of the College as she has since being named in an interim capacity in October 2016.
Dr. Mounty most recently had served as vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Success at Adelphi University. In that capacity, she managed several areas including admissions, student financial services, career development, counseling center, residential life, auxiliary services, disability support services, health services, public safety and transportation, athletics and others.
Prior to Adelphi, Dr. Mounty was dean for the School of Global and Professional Programs at Marist College and held the position of associate dean, Graduate School of Business Administration at Fordham University. She holds a Ph.D. in social service from Fordham and received her M.Ed. in education and BA in journalism from the University of South Carolina.
From 2011-2013, Dr. Mounty served on the board of directors and as an audit committee member for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley. She also is a member of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Council. A resident of Westchester County, Dr. Mounty grew up in New Rochelle and attended New Rochelle High School.
