NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Iona College is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Murasso
to the position of registrar, effective February 27, 2017. With more than 15 years of service within registrar’s offices at both public and private higher education institutions, Murasso has the key skills and experience needed for the important role at the College.
Murasso will report to the Office of the Provost and directly to Joanne Steele
, vice provost for Information Technology and chief information officer. He joins Iona at a time when the College has recently introduced its new core curriculum and a period of significant transformation with the recent unveiling of the plans for the new School of Business facility.
Most recently the registrar at Manhattanville College, Murasso served close to 3,000 students in an institution that grants bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Prior to that, he spent close to 10 years as associate registrar then registrar within the City University of New York system. Murasso graduated summa cum laude from Lehman College with a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems.
