New Rochelle, NY (July 8, 2013) Anne Marie Schettini-Lynch has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, effective August 12, 2013.
Named to the post after a national search, Schettini-Lynch has had an outstanding career in the finance field, both in higher education and public accounting. She has served as the Assistant Vice President and Associate Treasurer at St. John’s University since 1996. Overseeing the University’s treasury functions, Schettini-Lynch managed an investment portfolio of over $400 million and annual operating cash flows of $500 million. During her time with St. John’s, she played a significant role in many strategic initiatives, including establishment of the University’s Manhattan and Oakdale Campuses, expansion of its global footprint in Rome and Paris, and restructuring its debt portfolio. She established the Office of Auxiliary Enterprises, significantly increasing auxiliary revenue, and worked directly with students on the student managed investment funds and the microloan program, GLOBE.
Prior to St. John’s, Schettini-Lynch spent six years in public accounting, where she served higher education and other not-for-profit clients. She finished her tenure in accounting as a manager for Deloitte & Touche, LLP. She has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Queens College and an MBA in finance from St. John’s. She is both a licensed CPA and CTP and a member of the AICPA and the AFP.
Schettini-Lynch currently serves on the EACUBO Professional Development Program Committee for Metro New York and previously served on the Treasury Institute for Higher Education Program Committee.
She and her husband, Danny, live in New Hyde Park, N.Y., with their two daughters.
