Students from the three CEU universities can continue their studies in Iona College of New York
The U.S. university based in New York, Iona College, and the three CEU universities Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, CEU San Pablo in Madrid and Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona, have designed the postgraduate program “IONA-CEU Fast Track MBA,” as presented by the academic institutions.
Students from the three CEU universities who have finished their undergraduate or graduate degree in the last five years and wish to continue their studies with an accredited master’s degree in the United States can complete this master’s program in one year at the New York university, Iona College, with which the CEU schools have a collaboration agreement since November of 2012.
The President of Iona College, Dr. Joseph E. Nyre, and Iona’s Director of International Affairs, visited this week the CEU universities in Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona in order to present this program.
The event held on the campus of CEU-UCH in Valencia was attended by the Valencian Government’s head of Universities, Higher Education and Science, José Miguel Saval, and by the President of UCH, Rosa Visiedo.
CEU students who have completed their degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or graduate degrees in IBP (International Business Programme) or MBA, within the last five years and have a strong transcript, will have the opportunity to obtain an MBA from Iona College, which is accredited by AACSB International. The duration of the program is one year on the campus of Iona College, located only 20 minutes from the financial center of Manhattan.
According to the President of Iona College, Joseph E. Nyre, "obtaining a master’s degree in the United States allows students to differentiate their CV, demonstrating their capacity to learn and work in a different culture."
Furthermore, Dr. Nyre emphasized that "U.S. master’s programs are characterized by the importance placed on internships and the contacts that are maintained with alumni, which facilitates obtaining professional experience in leading companies in the United States."
As he stated, "the academic excellence of CEU and its place as the largest Catholic educational consortium in Spain are the reasons why Iona College, also a Catholic educational institution, has designed this program specifically for CEU students.”
