Student Selected to Present Research on Capitol Hill

New Rochelle, NY (February 1, 2016) Peter John (PJ) Milianta '16, biochemistry major, has been accepted for participation in the 20th Annual Posters on the Hill in Washington D.C. on April 19-20, 2016.

This prestigious event is sponsored by the national Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR).

Under the mentorship of Sunghee Lee, Ph.D., Board of Trustees Endowed Professor and chair of Chemistry, Milianta's research was chosen as one of 60 posters from 300 highly competitive applications. The poster is titled "To Understand The Involvement Of Cholesterol Asymmetry In The Regulation Of Biophysical Properties Related To Alzheimer's Disease, Aging And Alcoholism".

"PJ will join a selected elite group of undergraduate student researchers to present and testify the significance of research initiatives to members of Congress and the Senate on Capitol Hill," said Dr. Lee.
