In addition, participants enjoyed a taste of American campus life as they stayed in the residence halls, meals in the cafeteria, and used many of the recreation facilities on campus in their free time such as the pool, gym, and soccer field.
Highlights of their New York experience included; the Empire State Building, the Apollo Theater, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and Yankee Stadium where they took in a Yankees-Orioles Game.
“We couldn’t have been happier with the success of the program,” said Joe Polchinski, program director. “It was an all-around team effort on the part of the program participants and the Iona College staff who served them. It is my sincere belief that this experience was both educational and enjoyable for all the participants and I know they made many lasting memories of Iona College and New York that they now have taken back to Spain with them.”
