GLO-BUS is marketed by McGraw-Hill Education, Inc
NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Six student teams from Iona’s School of Business earned placement in the Top 100 global rankings in the GLO-BUS competitive business simulation as part of Jeffrey Alstete, Ed.D.’s BUS470 - Business Policy and Strategy class curriculum. Alstete is a professor of management and business administration. More than 2,700 teams from 138 colleges/universities participated in the simulation world-wide during the week March 27 through April 2.
Seniors Anisa Baksh ’17, Angela Ribeiro ‘17 and Zeehan Joshi ’17 ranked second in overall-game-to-date score, earnings per share and stock price. Another student team of Bryant Mena ’17 and Charles Claus ’17 earned high placements in the Top 100 score for their earnings per share (EPS) and stock price
GLO-BUS is a completely online global simulation marketed by McGraw-Hill Education, Inc. where the focus is competitive strategy.  Teams of students run a company that produces wearable video cameras and camera-equipped drones and compete head-to-head against companies run by other class members. Company operations parallel those of actual technology companies. Just as in the real world, companies compete in a global market arena, selling cameras and drones in four geographic regions—Europe-Africa, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Each week, the best-performing GLO-BUS companies measured on four performance variables (overall score, earnings per share, return on equity and stock price) are honored on the website.
