Fall 2017 Relocation Information

As we look forward to beginning the fall 2017 semester and welcoming back both our new and returning students, we call your attention to the following important information on campus-wide changes.

School of Business Relocations

In anticipation of the renovations and expansion of Hagan Hall, all administrative offices of Iona College’s School of Business have been relocated to other locations on campus and all classes will be held in other buildings.

The dean’s office and other offices previously housed in Hagan Hall are now located on the first floor of 91 Beechmont Drive on the north side of campus. The Marketing Department is in 38 Hubert Place on the south side. The two video conferencing classroom spaces used by the School of Business are now in Doorley Hall, Room 110 and the Murphy Center, Room 132. The LaPenta-Lynch Trading Floor can be found on the ground floor of McSpedon Hall, Room GR23.

Classes previously held in the 14 classrooms and three computer labs in Hagan Hall have been moved to existing and newly created classroom spaces around campus. Additional classrooms can be found in Arrigoni and Ryan Libraries as well as Driscoll Hall. Faculty and students are advised to log-in to PeopleSoft for their class schedules and classroom locations. A complete list of new classroom spaces can be found below:

Center for Advising and Academic Services and CELTIC

The newly created Center for Advising and Academic Services is open, in the space previously occupied by CELTIC. The Center for Advising and Academic Services serves as a central location for academic advising for students at Iona College.

CELTIC (Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching at Iona College) is now centrally located in the main portion of the Ryan Library on the first floor across from Romita Auditorium. The CELTIC Faculty lab is in Group Study Room C next to the Seminar Room. All faculty support services offered by the CELTIC team remain the same. In addition to providing space for the advisement center, the move enables the CELTIC and IT Help Desk teams to be located closer together to more efficiently coordinate efforts.

Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The initial administrative home for the new Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is located on the second floor of Spellman Hall, including office space for Christoph Winkler, Ph.D., its founding program director. The startup space for the Hynes Institute is still under construction and will be located at 748 North Avenue. Stay tuned for further information on a ribbon cutting ceremony to take place at our annual Homecoming and Family Weekend.
