How to access Academic Accommodation Letters

  1. Visit the link below to access the Clockwork Online Portal:
    https://clockworks.ps.iona.edu/signon.html
  2. Click on “Request Accommodation Letters” when you get to the main page. The 'Request Accommodation letters' option is displayed as the middle of three options and has a notebook icon.
  3. Read the instructions and click on Accommodations button.There will be four tabs: Accommodations, FAQ, Submit a comment and Help. There will also be instructions on this page and contact info for the Director of Student Access if you run into any issues. Choose 'Accommodations'.
  4. Log in with your Iona ID and password. Use your Iona username and password to sign in. You can also find the number for help desk on this page, as well the link to reset your password. There is also a link for accepted students and to review the computer use policy.
  5. Next, click on “Request”. You can click on request for any of the courses listed. The next page will give you the option to have your letter generated for all of your courses or just for certain ones. The table will have four columns: Course, Status, Request, and Letter. Click the 'Request' button for the course you would like to request accommodations for
  6. Requesting Accommodations. On this page you can select which courses you would like to send letters for. You may select "check all" at the bottom of the screen or choose which ones you would like. Next, on the left hand side, you can select which accommodations you would like. You may select "check all" at the bottom of the screen or choose which ones you would like. On the right is a list called 'Your Accommodations' which you can choose from. On the left is a list called 'Courses to request' which indicates which courses you would like accommodations for. Both lists will give you the option to 'check all' if needed.
  7. Select “My accommodation(s) are correct the way they are”. Then, review the Security & Data Privacy Statement and scroll to the bottom of the page. Three radion buttons will give the options 'My accommodations are correct the way they are, I need additional accommodations' or 'I need to change or remove an accommodation.' There is also a text area for an optional note.
  8. Select “I agree to the terms outlined above”. Then click “submit” when finished.
  9. The Clockwork Portal will email your professors with a notification you have sent them an accommodation letter through Clockwork. Once a request for your letter to be sent to your professor, the portal will show a status of “sent” and awaiting confirmation from your professor.
  10. When the professor confirms and acknowledges receipt of the letter, your account will be updated in the portal. The status will be updated to “confirmed”. This means that your professor has viewed and confirmed receipt of your accommodation letter.
  11. Lastly, you should select “get letter” to download and save a copy for each course for yourself. On the right hand side of the screen, select “get letter”. This will enable you to download a copy to save. The column labeled 'Status' displays the message 'Sent. Your accommodation letter has been sent to your instructor and is awaiting confirmation.' The column labeled 'Letter' will display a button labeled 'Get letter'. Click this button to download and save a copy of the letter.

  1. Follow this link to access the Student Portal: https://clockworks.ps.iona.edu/signon.html
  2. This will bring you to the main menu page of the Iona Student Clockwork Portal. There are three options for you to select from: Register to Receive Services, Request Accommodation Letters and My Upcoming Appointments. By selecting the “Request Accommodation Letters” option, you can request accommodations for each of your course using the tools in this section. Once a request is submitted, your instructor will receive an e-mail an instructions on how to access your accommodation letter by logging into the instructor portion of this website. You are able to access your own accommodation letter on this website at any time once your request has been approved. If you have any questions or require assistance please contact Daneshea Palmer, Director of Student Access by phone at 914-633-2366 or by e-mail at access@iona.edu. Click the Accommodations button in the middle of the page to get started.  
  3. This will prompt you to log in with your Iona username and password. On this page you will also be able to access help by phone, navigate to directions on how to change your password, and review the computer use policy.
  4. The Accommodations tab displays a table with four columns: Course, Status, Request and Letter. Each row in the request column will have a “request” link. By clicking on this link you will be able to request accommodations for which courses you would like to have accommodations letters for.
  5. On this page, you are able to select which courses you would like to send letters for. You may check select all at the bottom of the screen or choose which ones you would like. Next, on the left hand side, you can select which accommodations you would like. You may select check all at the bottom of the screen or choose which ones you would like.
  6. Next, there is a box that prompts the question “Please indicate if your accommodations require any changes”. There are three options to choose from: My accommodation(s) are correct the way they are, I need additional accommodations, and I need to change or remove an accommodation. Select the option “My accommodation(s) are correct the way they are”.
  7. Next on the page will be Iona College’s “Security & Data Privacy Statement”. This statement describes Iona College’s policy on information security and data privacy with particular regard to the security and privacy of personal, private information belonging to our applicants, employees, students and donors. At the end of the security statement there is an option to select “I agree to the terms outlined above”. There are two buttons to choose from: cancel or submit. By selecting submit, you will be finished with this page.
  8.  The Clockwork Portal will e-mail your professors with a notification you have sent them an accommodation letter through Clockwork. Once a request for your letter to be sent to your professor, the portal will show a status of “sent” and awaiting confirmation from your professor. This will appear underneath the status column underneath the Accommodations tab.
  9. When the professor confirms and acknowledges receipt of the letter, your account will be updated in the portal. The status column underneath the Accommodations tab will be updated to “confirmed”. This means that your professor has viewed and confirmed receipt of your accommodation letter.
  10. Lastly, you are able to select “get letter” to download and save a copy for each course for yourself. On the right hand side of the screen underneath the letter column in the Accommodations tab, select “get letter”. This will enable you to download a copy to save.

 

Students Accommodation Letters are available to view for the semester within this portal.
